I’m pretty sure I learned my work ethic in my parents’ chicken houses growing up. It wasn’t a cute 10 chick coop. It was a 10,000 hen laying house. And not a fancy one that brought the eggs to an AC room. It was old school, pick up eggs 3x’s per day by sticking your hands in every hole. Then, when we got a new flock every year, it was weeks of power washing and hauling out chicken p**p.
It was hot, hard and exhausting. But that’s where I learned how to work hard and reap the rewards.
Today I found myself walking down memory lane when I was power washing out our cute little chicken coop.
