Your credit score doesn’t take a summer vacation… and neither should your credit habits.

💳 This week’s credit tip: Keep your credit utilization low.

A good rule of thumb is to use 30% or less of your available credit limit. The lower your utilization, the better it can be for your credit score.

For example:
If your credit card has a $1,000 limit, try to keep your balance below $300, and paying it off in full each month is even better.

Small, consistent habits today can help you qualify for better interest rates, higher credit limits, and more financial opportunities in the future.

I’ve been a little quiet about my tax business, but trust me, I’ve been working. 💪🏽

Behind the scenes, I’ve been fully locked into my DFI Cohort with my Elevation TAX PROS Software team under the leadership and mentorship of Ariesa Stoddart, preparing for the upcoming tax season.

Although I serve as a Compliance Manager, these last few weeks have expanded my knowledge in ways I didn’t expect. Going deeper into due diligence and tax compliance has sharpened my skills, challenged me to revisit my own work, correct areas where I could improve, and ultimately become a stronger tax professional. That’s what growth looks like.

I’ve also spent these past few months helping clients with complex cases, including an Injured Spouse claim, while cleaning up my systems, strengthening my processes, and making sure everything is in place before tax season arrives.

This is why we prepare now.

Many people don’t start thinking about taxes until October, November, or even January. But true tax professionals don’t wait until tax season to get ready. We invest in continuing education, compliance, due diligence, and staying current so we can serve our clients with excellence and integrity.
