IT'S RAINING REFUND MONEY! We're excited to let you all know that today we received another 255 approvals from the IRS, including more than 90% of those who applied for an advance earlier this year. These are the best numbers that Tax Starz has seen since before the pandemic. We're working late tonight to set text alerts to go out in the morning to all of you. Direct deposit will hit your bank account on either Wednesday 02/25 or Thursday 02/26. Please note that cashier's checks will be available between 1:00pm and 9:00pm on Wednesday 02/25 and Thursday 02/26. Louis will be handing them out personally and we will have extra staff available to make sure that everyone is taken care of quickly. There will also be free food & drinks for everyone as you come in to get your check. You will get a text confirming that your check is ready to be picked up early in the morning on your pickup date. PLEASE WAIT TO COME TO THE OFFICE UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE CONFIRMATION TEXT. We promise that you will get the text on the same day your check is made available to us.

REFUNDS ARE RELEASING EARLY at least for those of you who filed at Tax Starz! The first of the returns that fall under PATH (those normally held until Feb 15th) were released for our clients this past Friday, 02/06. A total of 4 of you will be getting your refunds this week, much earlier than the normal time frame. We expect a lot of refunds to be released on the week of February 15th - 21st, still a few days early. For those of you who are getting cashier's checks, they will be available for pickup at the office after 2:00pm on the day of release. You'll get a text alert from Tax Starz letting you know that your check is ready, and Louis will be keeping the office open late on the mass release days to make sure everyone can pick up their refund check.

Due to mandatory pre-parade meetings and the Gasparilla parades themselves, our schedule for the next 2 weeks is as follows:

01/21: Closed at 5:00pm
01/23: Closed at 5:00pm
01/24: Reception Only / No Tax Prep
01/30: Closed at 5:00pm
01/31: Reception Only / No Tax Prep

We will otherwise operate during our normal business hours.

Avast ye lovers! Come on out to Bayshore next Saturday and watch as newly minted pirate Louis Henry, first mate Ashly Ortega, and the rest of the krewe from Tax Starz invade Tampa along with the famous YKSHM (Krewe Of Sir Henry Morgan). We will be part of both the kids parade on January 24th and the Gasparilla parade on January 31st (and we're loaded with enough beads & gold coins for everyone in Florida, don't tell anyone we told you). This is a life long dream of Louis' coming true after 40 years of going to Gasparilla!
