Last week, we had the pleasure of connecting with our clients across Northern Michigan for our October Quarterly Market Update events in Traverse City, Manistee, Cadillac, Petoskey, and Ga***rd.

Our Senior Partners, Jon Torbet and Art Canfield, led six presentations sharing insights on the stock market, the upcoming midterm elections, interest rates, the economy, and more.

We’re grateful to the 250 clients who joined us throughout the week and to the many more families who will watch the recorded presentation at their convenience. Earlier this week, our team made the trip north for Marquette Move-In Day! Jon, Art, Ray, and Luke met up with Brian at our new Marquette office to get everything moved in and ready to go.

From assembling furniture and setting up TVs to getting the office ready for meetings, it was a busy (and exciting!) day. We’re looking forward to seeing this space come to life and, most importantly, having a local place where clients and members of the Marquette community can meet with our team.

Last week, our team came together from across our Lower Peninsula office locations for a day of giving back with Habitat For Humanity Grand Traverse Region in Kalkaska, MI.

We had the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and help work on Habitat for Humanity’s new townhomes, spending the day working alongside our teammates and others in the community to help bring these homes one step closer to completion.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and support an organization making a meaningful difference right here in Northern Michigan.

Happy Birthday, Ashley! 🎂

When Ashley isn’t helping clients navigate their financial goals at Centennial Wealth Advisory, you’ll most likely find her spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, practicing yoga, or exploring somewhere new.

A Traverse City native, Ashley has a deep appreciation for everything Northern Michigan has to offer. She loves spending time with her husband, Buddy, their son, Peyton, and their pets, Rocco, Remi, and Rory. Outside of family time, yoga is one of Ashley’s biggest passions. She became a certified yoga teacher after a solo trip to Costa Rica, an experience that gave her a whole new perspective and deepened her love for the practice.

With more than a decade of experience in financial services and six years with the Centennial Wealth family, Ashley brings a thoughtful, relationship-focused approach to helping individuals and families plan for their financial futures.

Happy Birthday, Tim! 🎂

When Tim isn’t helping clients at Centennial Wealth Advisory or working his way through another tax season, you’ll most likely find him outside enjoying Michigan, spending time with friends, or hanging out with his dogs.

A Traverse City native who graduated from St. Francis High School, Tim returned home after graduating from Aquinas College, where he studied Business with minors in Accounting and Economics and played lacrosse. His love for the sport has continued beyond college, with trips to watch the NCAA Lacrosse National Championship and plenty of adventures with his college friends.

Tim also enjoys making the most of every season in Michigan. Whether he’s hitting the slopes with friends during the winter, getting outside during the warmer months, or exploring a new city, he’s always looking forward to his next adventure.

We’re grateful to have Tim on our team and appreciate his positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the energy he brings to CWA.

Since joining the firm in 2018, Nick has played an important role in helping clients build comprehensive retirement plans and establish lasting relationships. Based out of our Ga***rd office, Nick takes a comprehensive approach to retirement planning, with a focus on investment and portfolio design, income planning, tax planning, estate planning, long-term care, and health insurance.

Nick’s favorite part of his work is getting to know his clients, hearing their stories, and building relationships that continue for years. Last week, we were honored to sponsor and participate in the Annual Golfing for Vets Scramble hosted by Veterans in Crisis at Lochenheath.

As the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year, Golfing for Vets plays an important role in supporting Veterans in Crisis while also bringing greater awareness to the organization and the resources it provides to veterans throughout our region.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support such an important cause and spend the day alongside others who share a commitment to serving our local veteran community.
