Today is 529 day! Did you know money in a 529 account can be used for more than just a college education?

These funds can be used towards a vocational/trade school, student loan payments, and even for tuition expenses for K-12. If you no longer need the funds (you received scholarships, didn’t go to college, etc), it could be eligible to transfer into a Roth IRA! Give us a call if we can help you!

When you find something at a garage sale or thrift store (like a piece of furniture) DIY projects can be a great way to make it your own, learn something new, and potentially save a little money. But before diving in, it’s important to consider the full picture — including tools, materials, time, and unexpected costs!

Sometimes DIY is the perfect solution, but other times it may be worth it to invest in something that is already exactly the way you like it. 🔨

Moving into a first apartment or dorm can get expensive fast, but it doesn’t always have to! Summer garage sales can be a great way to find the necessities- think lamps, tables, rugs, etc.

A little patience and bargain hunting can go a long way when you’re getting started! 🪑📦

A little preparation now can save a lot of stress later. Consider making copies of important documents and cards (such as passports, driver's licenses, insurance information, and credit cards) and storing them securely in a safe place at home. It's a simple step that can make recovery much easier if something is ever lost, stolen, or damaged.

You may already have these copies on hand (we've even suggested this in the past!) but now is a great time to make sure everything is covered and updated! 🗂
