Plot twist: you don’t have to choose between brunch and a brokerage account. I love what we do at Quinn W Financial Planning, but one of the biggest myths I run into with new clients? That saving for tomorrow means sacrificing today. Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is you live for today WHILE investing in tomorrow so tomorrow’s adventures are even bigger than today’s. For the fam and me, today looked like Bookfest at Eastern Market. Tomorrow? Ever notice how we all became AQI experts overnight? 😂 Nobody knew what ‘AQI’ meant two years ago. Now Grandma checks it before she waters her tomatoes.
But here’s what’s funny: most people can tell you the air quality index off the top of their head, but they can’t tell you their emergency fund balance without opening three apps and squinting.
We’ll monitor a haze in the sky for months but ignore the haze in our bank account for years.
Just something to think about. 🤷‍♂️

If my life were a Netflix documentary right now, it’d be called ‘The Advisor Who Kept Saying Yes.’ Yes to clients. Yes to community involvement. Yes to building something from nothing.
But here’s the thing critics would miss: the best part of this job isn’t the wins. It’s the person who finally stops avoiding the money conversation.

Thank you to Planet Rock Climbing Gym for hosting yesterday’s Mhhp Chamber event. It was very cool to see the inside of the facility and to learn about the practices by all of the business owners from Green Lantern to 2SP. It was very informative.
