IRS CP53E notices:

Some taxpayers are receiving these notices even when there are no problems with their return.

If you receive a notice:
• Double-check your status through IRS.gov
• If you’re expecting a refund, confirm your bank account info was included on your return
• If it wasn’t, you can update your details through your IRS online account—or simply wait, as the IRS will issue a paper check after six weeks
• If you weren’t expecting a refund, verify that your payment cleared and review your IRS account
