We've been waiting for the tax commission and our filing software to catch up to retroactive changes made by the current Idaho legislature. It's finally happened and we've been madly finalizing returns. Here is the stack to go out; all told, it is a 30 inch stack of returns we could finally finish.

Did you know that every entity registered with any state secretary of state must complete an additional Beneficial Owner Information report or face a $500-per-day late filing penalty? I hope you knew that, but I bet this got your attention if you didn’t know.

IR-2023-230, Dec. 6, 2023 — As part of continuing efforts to combat dubious Employee Retention Credit (ERC) claims, the Internal Revenue Service is sending an initial round of more than 20,000 letters to taxpayers notifying them of disallowed ERC claims.
