💳 Parents… tonight’s credit tip is one you need to know 👀
Y’all, let’s talk about utilization because this is one of those things that can have you thinking you’re doing everything right and still wondering why your score isn’t moving.
If you have a credit card with a $1,000 limit and you owe $700, you’re using 70% of your available credit.
That’s your utilization.
Pay it down to $300 and now you’re at 30%.
Pay it down to $100 and now you’re at 10%.
See how much of a difference that makes?
And remember, your due date and your statement closing date are NOT the same thing. You can pay your bill on time every month, but if a high balance is being reported, it can still impact your credit.
So don’t just ask, “When is my payment due?”
Start asking, “When does my statement close?”
We’re learning how to move smarter with our credit over here! 💳✨
And let’s not forget what else I’m doing for my parents! ❤️
I’m giving any parent who is ready to get serious about their finances a FREE credit report, AND I’m covering your first month of life insurance when you get approved.
We already had one lady get approved for $260,000 in life insurance coverage, and baby, I Zelled her that first month’s premium the very next morning! 🙌🏾
I’m serious about this.
I want us working on the credit, but I also want us thinking bigger about protecting our babies, protecting our families, and making sure we’re leaving something behind.
Credit. Protection. Legacy.
That’s the kind of elevation we’re on. 💕💳📈
