I completed all my goals for 2022! 🥳

Since we are pretending that this week is New Years, I wanted to start by wrapping up my goals series from last year.

And while I’m really proud of hitting them all (especially the books goals, since I’ve struggled to read more than 10 in the past)…

…looking back they might have been a bit too easy.

Lesson learned, and I’m excited to push myself a bit further in 2023.

I’ve already set this year’s goals, so let me know; should I share them again like I did last year?

Wanna help me test a prototype budgeting app?

(We’ve been working on it for a year now behind the scenes, so it feels so cool to finally be able to say that. 🥳😍)

This is important 👇🏻

My money did not start out this complicated.

The system you see in the post above grew over the last 5-6 years as I started a business, bought a house, and learned more about investing.

But back when I was a new grad just starting my first job, I had 3 accounts…

1️⃣ a checking account,

2️⃣ a savings account (which I soon after split into fun and emergency savings),

3️⃣ and a 401k that my job offered but I didn’t understand.

And speaking of not understanding, feel free to leave any questions you’ve got in the comments.

I share my own experience because I want you to learn something from it, so I’m happy to chat about any of the details. 👍🏻

If you are new to having a credit card (or could use the reminder every so often 🙋🏻‍♀️) make sure to save this post to reference when you go to pay your card!

And drop any of your credit card questions in the comments. I, you’re favorite money nerd, be answering them for you this weekend. 🤓

My goal with this workshop, and this business as a whole, is to make money less intimidating, overwhelming, and difficult.

Money impacts almost every area of our lives, and managing it well can be the difference between having the ability to create a fulfilling life and constantly feeling stuck.

I created this workshop to get you unstuck.

In the workshop we will be going over a step by step guide to figuring where your money is going, the best way to save it, how to get rid of debt, and the first steps to get your money growing with investing.

This way you can get your money sorted and start using it to create the life you’ve always dreamed of.

📆 The workshop is March 20th at 2 pm, and there will be a replay available if you can’t make it live. All the details (including the sign up link) at https://www.theseedlingbudget.com/financial-foundations

I can’t wait to see you there!

This is my favorite number to use to track my money progress 😍

Your net worth tells you exactly where you stand with one (fairly easy to calculate) number.

And whether it’s positive or negative is less important than whether it is trending upward or downward. That trend tells you if you are making progress in the right direction or not.

It’s pretty easy to track manually, but there are also plenty of apps that will track it for you. Some of the most popular are Mint (free and my personal favorite), Personal Capital (also free), and YNAB (paid).

If you don’t know your number off the top of your head, I’d encourage you to do the math this week and check in.

And follow for more tips to get your money growing! 🌱

I don’t care what your net worth is.🙅🏻‍♀️

I want to know what your plans are for that money. 📝

Because what’s the point of having a boat load of money if you aren’t using it create a life you love?

My plans for my money include retiring at least 15 years early, traveling to visit family and friends often, and being able to donate freely when I see a good cause.

So, what are your plans for your money? Drop them in the comments and I’ll send a little encouragement your way 💞

And follow for tips to get your money growing with a purpose! 🌱
