Who will manage your estate when you’re gone? Choosing the right executor of your will is one of the most important decisions in estate planning.

Creating a will is just the first step. Your executor is the person legally responsible for carrying out your wishes, managing estate assets, paying outstanding debts and taxes, and distributing your assets to your beneficiaries.

So, what should you look for when choosing an executor?

✔️ Someone you trust to handle important financial decisions
✔️ Someone organized and responsible
✔️ A strong communicator who can work with family members
✔️ Someone who understands and accepts the responsibility
✔️ Ideally, someone who lives nearby to help manage estate matters

It’s also a good idea to name a backup executor in case your first choice is unable or unwilling to serve.

Estate planning is about more than deciding who inherits your assets. It’s also about making the process easier for your loved ones during an already difficult time.

At Noblemark Financial, we’re here to help you think through the financial decisions that matter for your family’s future. Give us a call at (586) 737-7496 📲

Saving for retirement isn’t just about how much you contribute. It’s also about how much time your money has to potentially grow.

Compounding happens when your investment earnings generate earnings of their own. Starting early gives that process more time to work, even when your initial contributions are small.

Explore the power of starting early in our latest article, linked in our bio.

📞 Ready to build a retirement savings plan around your goals? Give us a call at (586) 737-7496. We’re here to help you take the next step.

Saving for your child’s future could start with a $1,000 or $250 contribution to an investment account.

Here’s what parents should know:

-$1,000 federal contribution: Available for eligible U.S. citizen children born January 1, 2025–December 31, 2028, with a valid Social Security number.
-$250 privately funded contribution: Provided for eligible children born in 2016–2024 in qualifying ZIP codes. Check your ZIP code and your child’s account to confirm whether they received it.

Children may qualify for an account even without either contribution, and families can contribute subject to annual limits.

Starting early gives investments more time to potentially grow and compound. Understanding the tax and withdrawal rules, and how these accounts compare with options like 529 education plans, can help you plan for your child’s future.

Give us a call at (586) 737-7496 to discuss how saving for your child fits into your family’s financial plan.
