“Sorry, go ahead.” “No, you go.”

Every video call. Every time.

Name who speaks next, and the collisions stop.

What’s your team’s unwritten rule for taking turns on calls?

The most expensive words at work: “I assumed.”

I assumed you knew. I assumed you agreed. I assumed it was fine.

One quick check-in saves a lot of cleanup. Strong teams say their assumptions out loud.

What’s an assumption that came back to bite your team?

“Hey, got a minute later?” No context.

The message that ruins an entire afternoon.

Five extra words fix it: “Quick question about the deck. Nothing urgent.”

Context is a kindness. Tag a manager who needs this reminder.

“Sounds good.”

To some, that’s polite. To others, that period sounds annoyed.

Research shows texts that end in a period are read as less sincere, and many younger workers read the thumbs-up emoji as passive-aggressive.

Same message, two very different reads. Which side of the period are you on? Tell us below.

Happy Boss’s Day. This year, skip the card.

Tell your manager what’s working. What isn’t. What you need.

Honest feedback is the gift most leaders rarely get, and the one they need most.

Everyone knows what “per my last email” really means.

Research shows people expect their email tone to be read correctly 78% of the time. It’s read correctly only 56% of the time.

Before your next tense email, read it out loud. Would you say it that way in person?

What’s the work phrase that makes you wince? Tell us below.

Burnout rarely starts with the workload.

It starts with what didn't get said, what didn't get asked, and what didn't get heard.

Gallup found that people who feel supported by their manager are about 70% less likely to experience burnout regularly.

Ahead of World Mental Health Day, check in on someone this weekend, and mean it.

Every team has two meetings. The one on the calendar and the meeting after the meeting. ☕

The hallway. The side chat. The "got a sec?"

If the most honest conversation keeps happening after the meeting, the meeting isn't working.

Sound familiar? Tell us below. 👇

Most people prepare what they're going to say. 🗣️

The best prepare for how they'll listen.

There's a difference — and it shows up in every conversation that actually matters.

There's a difference between being heard and feeling heard. 👂

One is about what was said.

The other is about what was experienced.

The best leaders know the difference — and they design for both.

Which one do you think most leaders get wrong? Drop it below. 👇
