🚨 The IRS is changing how first-time penalty relief works.

Beginning in 2026, the IRS is phasing in a new Automatic Exemption from Penalty program that will eventually replace First-Time Penalty Abatement.

Under the new program, eligible taxpayers may automatically receive relief from certain failure-to-file, failure-to-pay, and failure-to-deposit penalties without having to request it.

But not every taxpayer, penalty, or return will qualify, and some taxpayers may still need to request relief during the transition.

🚨 Meet Sophia: Our New AI Assistant 🚨

We are officially launching Sophia, our new AI assistant, to help answer calls and point clients in the right direction.

Now before anyone panics and thinks, “Do they not want to talk to us anymore?” Absolutely not. We love talking to our clients. Truly. You are the reason we do what we do.

But unfortunately, scammers, spam calls, robocalls, and sales calls have entered their villain era.
At this point, about 98% of our incoming calls are bogus. Not “quick question” bogus. More like “we’ve been trying to reach you about your Google listing, your car warranty, your copier lease, your left shoe, and possibly your soul” bogus.
And those calls take time away from helping actual clients.

So, Sophia is here to help us filter through the noise, get you where you need to go faster, and allow our team to focus on the people who actually need us.
Please be patient with us while we work out any bugs. She’s new. She’s learning. She may have a moment. Honestly, same.

We still want to hear from you.
We still want to help you.
We are still very much real humans behind the scenes.
Sophia is just helping us keep the spam goblins from eating our entire day.

It may not be Friday yet, but at least Monday is officially behind us. Take the win, refill the coffee, answer the email, send the invoice, check the list, and keep moving.

🚨 Trump Accounts are live, and parents may want to take a look.

These new tax-advantaged accounts are designed for eligible children, and some may qualify for a one-time $1,000 Treasury contribution.

To create an account, parents or guardians will need to use the official website, TrumpAccounts.gov, and complete the IRS election process using Form 4547.

Before you sign up, make sure you understand the eligibility rules, contribution limits, and how this fits with your overall family tax planning.
