Night one of Thursdays on the Platz was a little toasty, but the fire hydrant was flowing, Blue Rune was rocking, and downtown Vermillion was full of smiling faces. 🌞🎶

A huge thank you to all of the nonprofit organizations that joined us for Nonprofit Night. We loved seeing so many groups sharing the work they do to make the Vermillion area so special.

Now let's do it again!

Tomorrow is Agriculture, Ag Business & Financial Services Night. Join us from 5:30-8 p.m. for live music from The Dispensers, local food vendors and more! See you on the Platz!

It's not a burger. It's wurst.

Inspired by a certain famous burger that rhymes with "big snack," Jefferson Beer Supply starts with a pork-beef blend bauernwurst sausage on a butter-grilled, split-top hoagie. It's topped with American cheese, dill pickle chips, shredded lettuce, secret burger sauce, toasted sesame seeds and crispy fried onions.

It's giving big burger energy. Wurst Place style.

We kicked off the Fourth of July in Vermillion with the Founding Fathers 5K Run & Walk. We loved seeing the runners, walkers, families, friends and all the patriotic outfits on the course!

The Notaburger from Mulberry Pie Wood-Fired Pizza features secret sauce, seasoned ground beef, bacon, red onion, Colby Jack cheese, and homemade pickles on Mulberry's slow-fermented, scratch-made crust. This week we celebrated the groundbreaking of two new affordable homes by Habitat for Humanity of Clay and Yankton Counties in the Jack Powell Addition.

This project, which is made possible through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, City of Vermillion and the VCDC, helps create more affordable homeownership opportunities for local families.

If you love a Caesar salad, this burger is for you!

Today's featured Burger Battle burger is the Oh-My-Caesar from Hartford Steak Co Tavern-Vermillion.

Hartford's fresh, in-house ground beef patty is topped with a house-made Caesar salad featuring crisp romaine, parmesan, Caesar dressing, and homemade croutons. It's finished with crispy bacon and red onions, all served on a brioche bun.

📅 Available Monday–Thursday only and served with chips (no substitutions).

The Fourth of July in Vermillion was incredible!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate America's 250th anniversary and the Fourth of July. From the Founding Fathers 5K and Red, White & Roll Parade to live music, community performances, food vendors, games, hot dog eating contest, and the fireworks, it was such a great day.

Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, performers, vendors and community organizations who helped create a fun experience for everyone!
