Hey folks! Lets talk gas prices for a second. Holy moly! Many of you are asking why in the world is a gallon of gas so much higher than last week or even yesterday?

Here are two main reasons!
1. Inflation - Inflation is a fancy term for the when prices of goods and services go up due to increase in production costs. Right now there is a surge in supply and demand, which drives the prices of things to go up including gas.
2. “Drum Roll”, please. Yes you guessed it the Russian-Ukraine conflict.

Look, we all know that we can’t control how much the gas costs but we can in fact control how much gas we use.

Here are 5 ways to Save Money on Gas.
1. Combine your errands. Yes, this requires a little bit of planning ahead but you can do it. Meal planning is huge here. The fewer trips out, the less you pay in gas.
2. Use that cruise control.
3. Shop around for the best gas prices. GasBuddy is great.
4. Don’t fill up on the weekends when gas is usually more expensive.
5. Join gas rewards programs. We use Fuel Rewards app. This saves us an extra $.10 off per gallon.

A dozen of us Ramsey Preferred Coaches met up in Williamsburg yesterday! Is your kiddo applying for college or thinking about attending college?

Here are 4 words you need to know!
1. FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This is a form that is completed annually by current and prospective college students to determine their eligibility for financial aid.
2. Grants - a form of state financial aid that does not need to be repaid, usually given to students who demonstrate financial need
3. Scholarship - a form of financial aid that does not need to be paid back, usually awarded on the basis of academy, athletic or other achievements
4. Work Study - a program that allows students to work part time while continuing their studies
