We are still very much in business and available! While the office may be ‘physically’ closed our sevices are now virtual . This allows for greater flexibility in your schedule and allows you to have your taxes done and not leave the comfort of your home. Everything is done on-line! For more information just call the office (757) 425-8463 to find out more. Our hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10-6pm, Wednesday 11-7pm and Saturday Noon-3pm. January 23rd , 2023 starts the new year for E-filing your 2022 tax returns. S. Corporations and LLC’s are due by March 15th, 2023 and personal returns are due by April 18th, 2023. Please make your appointment as soon as possible to ensure you file on time to avoid penalties/ and or interest charges. As always we are here to help!

Hello Clients!

The IRS and the State of Virginia Department of Taxation have extended the filing date for personal returns to be May 17th, 2021. Please be sure to call to schedule your appointment (757) 425-8463. Please keep in mind we can do your return by ‘drop off’ if you are not comfortable with a face to face appointment, however that would still need to be scheduled to avoid an overflow of people in the office. We also ask that only one person per household attends the appointment, a mask is required and we do uphold a 24 hour cancellation policy. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we strive to be the best tax preparation office with the safety of you, your family as well as our staff as we live in this trying time of the pandemic. Well 2020 was a doozy to say the least and we are all not out of the woods yet. We are grateful though for each day and want to assure our clients new and seasoned that we are here! Our tax season hours start on January 25, 2021 as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am - 5:00pm, Wednesday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Hello to our community, as of today the IRS has not officially updated their site on the recent stimulus package regarding the Coronavirus. We here at Star Money Tax Services, are geared up to do ‘social distance’ tax returns. All you need to do is call and we will walk you through that process. Please know we are here to help as we all have been deeply affected by this malady. The following is not from the IRS website but is the most accurate on how the package is designed. Stay safe and stay well! 💕🙏

“Retirees, workers and people laid off from work all will get coronavirus-related stimulus checks as long as they have a Social Security number, filed tax returns in 2018 or 2019 and meet the income requirements.

The checks will be sent via direct deposit if the IRS has bank account information from previous tax filings. If the IRS doesn’t have that info, expect a check in the mail.

People should start receiving relief checks, or direct deposits, within three weeks, according to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.”
