Promotion Announcement!

We’re excited to announce the promotion of Jackie Taylor to Senior Accountant. Jackie is a vital member of our audit department, and throughout her time here at WGH has demonstrated impressive accounting and auditing skills, and work ethic on top of her strong personal characteristics that positively impact both our team and clients alike. She will continue to lead, plan, and supervise her client engagements and become further involved in all client engagements in which she is a team member.

Jackie began with the firm as an intern in early 2022 and worked as a full-time employee upon graduation in spring of 2022 through early 2023 until she moved to Texas. She went on to work for a large firm for a year and returned to WGH in early 2024 working remotely for our audit department from Texas.

Thank you Curl Mesabi Curling Club for having us a few weeks ago for our holiday party. An absolutely fantastic time was had by all! None of us had curled before, and we had a great time learning about the sport!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from WGH!

We will be closed Wednesday December 24 through Friday December 26, and again Thursday January 1 and Friday January 2 as we celebrate the holiday season. We will be open weekly Monday through Friday beginning on January 5.

Mesabi East Schools hosted Giant Pride Night yesterday. It was a fantastic evening with several events, activities, and stations for students and members of the community that was scheduled in conjunction with parent-teacher conferences. These included a book fair, FAFSA guidance, several presentations in the auditorium, a farm to school dinner served by Mesabi East Environmental Education center ME3C and the Family Consumer Science Program, and college and career tables and booths.

Former Giant, Drew Benes, handled the Walker, Giroux & Hahne, LLC table (with a little help from a current Giant) and discussed the workings and opportunities the accounting profession provides with many students and community members.

It truly was a great evening! We love participating in events like Giant Pride Night – thank you for inviting us, Mesabi East Schools!
