Flag Day is a great reminder of how much history is woven into the Stars and Stripes, and our team always enjoys taking a moment to appreciate the story behind this national symbol.

Here are a few fun facts you might not know:

🔹 The 50-star version was designed by a 17-year-old student, Robert G. Heft, whose class project ended up becoming the official flag in 1960.

🔹 There have been 27 official versions of the U.S. flag, with most changes reflecting the addition of new states over time.

🔹 The colors carry meaning: red for hardiness and valor, white for purity, and blue for vigilance, perseverance, and justice.

🔹 Six American flags remain on the moon, placed there during Apollo missions.

🔹 Our current design is the longest-running in history, unchanged since 1959.
