ATTENTION: If you plan to mail your taxes or your payment on April 15 there are something’s you need to know!

This new rule published in the 11/24/25 Federal Register clarifies that a machine applied post mark indicates the date of the first automated processing operation. This can be later than the date the mail is dropped off.

If you are mailing your taxes on April 15th, you must go into the post office at the counter and request a manual post mark. If you don’t do this your taxes could be considered late.

As of today, the requirement for employers to accrue sick pay for employees has been rescinded. Every employer that has accrued sick pay up to this point must now make decisions regarding future actions.

Starting tomorrow, May 1 employers with over $500,000 in gross receipts must start to accrue sick time for employees in Missouri. You can print this notice for the Missouri Department of Labor to give your employees.
