It's that time of year again!
Tax season is just around the corner. As we prepare to send out our year-end letters, there is one matter that we would like to urgently bring to your attention.
As of September 30, 2025, the IRS will no longer be accepting or issuing check payments. This makes two things vitally important:
(1) To ensure a speedy refund, please provide your banking information to us when you submit your tax information this year. If we already have your direct deposit information, you're all set!
(2) If you have a balance due on your tax return, your federal payment must be made on the IRS website. While you are not required to set up an account to make a payment, we strongly encourage you to do so. Having an account allows you to track your payments in case any questions arise later. If you do not wish to set up an account, we can provide online payment instructions with a copy of your tax return.
If you would like to set up an account and are having trouble or are unsure of how to do so, please reach out to us. We are here to support you throughout the entire tax filing process. We just ask that you do so before tax season starts.
Please feel free to contact our office at (252)946-0545 with any questions or concerns.
Thank you all, and we look forward to seeing you this tax season!
