🍽️ Lunch Local with EWH | Stop #1: Uncle Jimmy's Pub & Grill

One of our favorite parts of what we do is building relationships with the incredible businesses we serve—and what better way to support them than by grabbing lunch at one of our amazing clients' establishments!

We're excited to kick off our brand-new Lunch Local with EWH series, where our team will be visiting local client businesses, enjoying a great meal, meeting up with the owners, and shining a spotlight on the people who help make our communities so special. 💙

Our first stop? Uncle Jimmy's Pub and Grill! 🍔 We enjoyed great food, even better company, and the chance to catch up with owner, Jimmy Lidwin.

A big thank you to Jimmy and his team for the warm hospitality and delicious meal! If you haven't had the chance to visit Uncle Jimmy's yet, be sure to add it to your list—you won't be disappointed.

⛳💙 Team EWH had a fantastic time participating in the 32nd Annual Leff's Lucky Town Open on July 9th at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex!

Our team of golfers along with a few friends & clients—had a blast representing EWH while supporting two incredible causes: Cystic Fibrosis and Rally for Aly.

We always enjoy opportunities to get out in the community, support meaningful organizations, and spend time with great people (a beautiful day on the golf course doesn't hurt either! 😉).

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. We're already looking forward to teeing it up again next year and continuing to support such a wonderful cause! ⛳💙

Team Waukesha was showing off their patriotic spirit today as we kicked off an early celebration for America’s birthday! ❤️🤍💙

And of course, no EWH cookout would be complete without Grillmaster Randy working his magic on the grill—serving up some seriously delicious eats for the team. 🔥🍔

Good food, great company, and plenty of red, white, and blue made for a pretty great day at the office!

🎁 Did you know some employee perks are completely tax-free?

Under IRS Code Section 132(e), "de minimis" benefits — those too small to be worth tracking — can be provided to employees without tax consequences.

Think: holiday gifts (non-cash), occasional office parties, flowers for special occasions, or letting employees use the company phone or copier now and then.

A few things that DON'T qualify:
❌ Cash (almost never de minimis)
❌ Gift cards or gift certificates
❌ Routine meal reimbursements

The tricky part? There's no hard dollar limit in the tax code — so "small" is open to interpretation. That's where we come in.

✈️🌵 Some of Team EWH headed to sunny San Antonio, TX in May for the PASBA Spring Marketing & Technology Conference—and a great time was had by all!

Jon and his wife Kris, Randy and his wife Melissa, and Teresa spent the conference learning, networking, sharing ideas, and bringing back valuable knowledge to continue helping our clients and team grow. 📈💡

We’re also excited to share that Kris & Teresa even made the conference newsletter—fame looks good on Team EWH! 😄

One especially meaningful moment from the conference was the presentation of the 1st Annual Edward W. Hastreiter Scholarship Award. It was incredibly special to see Ed’s legacy continue to make an impact within the profession and community he cared so deeply about. 💙

Thank you to PASBA for hosting such a fantastic event—we’re already looking forward to the next one!
