Important dates coming up! Also, be aware that the IRS is no longer accepting paper check payments. If you have a 4th quarter estimate payment due, it will have to be paid online. If you need help with year end filings or tax planning, give me a call or shoot me a message!

January 15, 2026: Final estimated tax payment for the 2025 tax year

Mid to Late January 2026: The IRS will begin accepting and processing tax returns. TBD

January 31: Employers must furnish W-2 forms to employees, and businesses must issue most 1099 forms to contractors.

We had a great family trip to Chicago/Wisconsin/da U.P.! Our car broke down on the Seney Stretch coming home so kept us a few extra days than planned (big thanks to Lindsay at Just Fab Graphics for getting a hard to find alternator and Ron Kriesche for hauling it all the way to Newberry). Will be back in the office on Thursday.

Just wanted to give an update on all the tax changes coming now that the reconciliation bill has passed. There are many tax provisions for businesses and individual tax payers that have been extended or changed, including some new changes to taxes on tips, overtime, and a new senior bonus deduction for some taxpayers over the age of 65. The Treasury Department announced March 2 that it will no longer enforce the Corporate Transparency Act or the associated Beneficial Ownership Information reporting requirements.
