Our goal is simple: prepare the most accurate tax return possible while ensuring you receive every deduction and credit you are legally entitled to. We will never sacrifice quality for speed.
Every Return Is Reviewed Thoroughly
Many of our new clients come to us after preparing their own returns or using another preparer. It's common for us to discover missed deductions, overlooked credits, depreciation errors, filing elections, or other issues that can result in significant tax savings.
Because of this, we don't simply prepare the current year's return—we often review prior years when appropriate. If we believe a previous return contains errors or missed opportunities, we'll discuss them with you before moving forward.
Sometimes this process uncovers substantial savings. Other times it simply provides peace of mind that everything was done correctly. Either way, we believe it is worth taking the time to do it right.
If You Come to Us Late in Tax Season
If your information arrives late in the filing season or your tax situation is unusually complex, your return may require additional time.
Every return is prepared, reviewed, and quality-checked before it is filed. Complex returns often require additional research, additional documentation, or conversations with you before we can finalize them.
While we understand that everyone would like their return completed immediately, rushing through a complicated tax return increases the risk of mistakes that could cost far more than waiting a little longer.
For that reason, we will never rush a return simply to meet an artificial expectation.
If additional time is needed, we will discuss filing an extension when appropriate. An extension provides additional time to file—not additional time to pay any tax due—and is often the best way to ensure your return is completed correctly.
