If you work at RTX, Pratt & Whitney, or Collins Aerospace, you have more financial planning tools available to you than most people realize. The hard part is using them well.
On July 15, I'm hosting Office Hours for RTX employees. Two ways to join:
Virtual, over lunch. Drop in from your desk for a focused conversation.
In person at 5:30, after work, at our West Hartford office. Space is very limited, so these spots will go quickly.
We'll work through the questions I hear most from people at Pratt, Collins, and corporate:
- Company stock concentration, and how much is too much
- RSU vesting and the tax timing that catches people off guard
- A potential tax benefit sitting inside your 401(k) that many people never use
- The legal services benefit and where it fits in estate planning
- How to get full value from the benefits you already have
One quick thing to check before we meet: log into your 401(k) or look at your statement for any "After-Tax" contributions. Not Roth, After-Tax. They look similar but they are not the same thing, and if you have After-Tax dollars in there, a few adjustments could save you a meaningful amount in taxes. We'll talk through what to do with it.
