Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Isaiah 55:8-12 NIV

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

The Lord has a plan (our path, our lessons, our destiny) and sends it out with intent far greater than our own understanding. We may get stuck in the "Why is this happening to me". We start to feel pity, become paralyzed or overwhelmed. Know that this journey is intended to "water" your life, to give you life, to allow you to flourish, and ultimately lead you to joy, peace, and everlasting happiness!

Colossians 1:11 (NIV): being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

God's power gives endurance, which is the ability to withstand hardship without failing. The Lord is the "God of endurance" (Romans 15:5), a quality needed by all Christians (Hebrews 10:36). Second, God's power gives patience. Patience is part of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23) and is an essential part of Christian maturity. Third, God's power gives joy. Joy is also part of the fruit of the Spirit and is one of the clearest differences between the life of the believer and the unbeliever.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

There are times when we are down on ourselves, when we think maybe we are flawed, but remember God made you just as He intended. Use your God given talents for good, to do good work within your family, employment, and community! Favor will come, just be patient and have faith!!

A Memorial Day Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

With a sober heart we come before You this Memorial Day to pause and call to mind all the men and women who have died in the service of our nation.

Dear God, please look with mercy on our brave and selfless brothers and sisters, who did not shirk from their task but gave themselves completely to the cause of defending and protecting us all. Bless all who have given their lives for the sake of liberty, and grant them eternal rest with You.

We remember also our brave men and women now serving in our Armed Forces, both at home and abroad. Send out Your angels to protect them all. Help them discharge their duties honorably and well. Bring them safely home to their families and loved ones. Please bring Your peace and mercy to our troubled world.

We ask this in Your name. Amen.

When you wake up each morning, you need to say, “Father, thank You for this day. Thank You that You woke me up and gave me air to breathe. Thank You that You’ve surrounded me with favor.
