To claim the deductible new vehicle interest on your 2025 return we will need:
~A copy of your insurance card, which will give us the VIN number, year, make and model of your vehicle.
~Loan origination date, outstanding balance as of 12/31/25 AND interest paid on the loan in 2025.

Phase out of Energy Tax Credits.

IRC § 25C – Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit Dec 31, 2025. Examples include exterior doors, exterior windows and skylights, HVAC, water heaters. The expense must be incurred AND placed in service by the deadline.

IRC § 25D – Residential Clean Energy Credit December 31, 2025
Examples include solar panels, solar water heater, geothermal heat pumps, fuel cells. The previous requirement of 'placed in service' is replaced with a deadline of incurring the expense. (If you charge it on 12/31 it counts)
