Advance payments of the Child Tax Credit are scheduled to start in July. If you don't want to receive these advance Child Tax Credit payments, for example if you use them to pay income or self employment taxes on your farm or business operations at year end, you must go to the IRS portal in the article below and opt out before June 28th! If no action is taken, a portion of the Child Tax Credit will start being paid out monthly in July. Check this out and make your decision now.
