We meant to share a holiday post last week, but between the kids and the yucky germs that have been making the rounds, life had other plans — as it often does!

As we head into the New Year, I can’t help but reflect on how much growth this year brought. I started the year working out of a home office, and today I’m grateful to be welcoming clients into a beautiful, elegant space that truly reflects the firm we’re building.

This year also brought an important milestone: adding a team member who has quickly become a pivotal part of keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly and supporting our clients at a higher level.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue growing and reaching more individuals and families who need thoughtful, personalized financial planning through our unique service model.

And somewhere in between the progress, there’s room for some fun in the office!! 🤪

🥠 Food for thought!🍪

Sometimes life hands you a little reminder that you’re on the right path—mine just came in the form of a fortune cookie!

This weekend, we spent the afternoon with our neighbors at their pool - The kids laughing, the summer sun fading into the evening… and we decided to order Chinese food. After our meal when I cracked open my fortune cookie, it read:

“You will be able to achieve financial freedom.”

It made me smile—not just because it’s a great fortune! But because it’s exactly what I help people do every day.

Financial freedom isn’t just about numbers. It’s personal and unique for each person. For me, it’s the ability to create memories like this—summer nights by the pool, good food, good friends, laughter, and a memory for our son.

I’m excited to share that I’ve officially completed the Fundamentals of Insurance course as part of the ChFC Designation at The American College of Financial Services!

With several years of hands-on experience working on the insurance side of the business, it’s no surprise that this material was familiar—but diving deeper into the academic and strategic side of insurance has been both validating and energizing!

Onward to the next milestone in the ChFC journey - Fundamentals of Income Taxation!

📢 Reflecting on an Exciting Experience! 🔦

I recently had the honor of speaking on a panel discussion about growing my financial planning practice, and it was a moment to reflect on my journey.

When I first started, growth felt like a mystery (still does some days!) — how do you find the right clients, build trust, and scale efficiently? Over time, I’ve learned that success comes from focusing on relationships, staying consistent, and always adding value.

During the panel, we discussed everything from streamlining operations, creating meaningful client experiences, business planning, and how to leverage business development partners. It was a great reminder that growth isn’t just about getting bigger—it’s about building the right kind of business, with the right direction, clients and foundation.

💡 3 Quick Budgeting Tips for Financial Success 💡

1️⃣ Track Every Dollar

I started logging every expense years ago — yes, even that $7 coffee! Seeing it all laid out helps know exactly where my money is going each month, realize when spending increases, and when to cut unnecessary spending.

2️⃣ Pay Yourself First

Thanks to the advice given by my Mom, I’ve been doing this since my first job at age 16. A small amount direct deposited to regular savings, and watch the rainy-day fund grow.   A safety net has been a game-changer recently for my unexpected car repairs, dental services, and veterinary bills!

3️⃣ Be Discipline and Embrace Spending Rules! (i.e. the 50/30/20 Rule)

I’ve learned to prioritize spending to make sure my basic needs are met before paying for anything else! Breaking down a budget into needs first, then wants, and be sure you’re saving will give clarity and confidence to enjoy life while planning for the future.

These small practices have helped me build financial habits that stick.
