clients professionally and with the latest information and options. Until September 2012, our name was Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) of Forsyth County. Our new name reflects the enormous variety of services we now offer clients to help them address both challenges and aspirations in their financial lives. Our new name also represents our heart felt belief that a wise financial path is within everyone’s reach. Through the generosity of donors and program funders, we are able to serve local residents for either no charge or a very low fee.

2026 has been a BIG year for the Center for Homeownership 🏡💚

Our team has worked day and night to turn the dream of homeownership into reality for our community — and the numbers speak for themselves. 39 homes purchased. 700k invested in dreams. Hundreds of lives changed.

We are so proud of what our clients have achieved this year, and can’t wait to see where their financial journey takes them from here!

"We only have one family shelter in Winston-Salem, and many families live in hotels in order to stay together." — Karon McKinney, United Way of Forsyth County, in the latest issue of our blog, From the Heart: Green Chair Conversations.

In this conversation, we explore the realities of hidden homelessness, the current housing crisis, and the unprecedented hurdles facing veterans in our community — and how connection, support, and resilience can help carve a better path forward.

These stories are closer to home than many realize. But no matter what you're facing, you never have to walk alone.

Read the full blog at the link below, and thank you to Karon for sharing such an insightful perspective.

Have you ever received a call or email that felt off, but you couldn't tell if it's a scam? These schemes are growing harder to recognize by the day, with elderly individuals being among the most frequently targeted victims.

That's exactly why we hosted this identity theft, fraud, and scam prevention workshop. Throughout the session, you will learn how to recognize elder financial exploitation, protect yourself and loved ones from identity theft, and find helpful resources to report financial abuse.

We would like to thank Sheryl Hancock and Carter Bank for facilitating this seminar, and for their continued support of Financial Pathways.

If you or anyone you know could benefit from this workshop, watch the video below — and don't forget to tag and share!

Introducing the FANTASTIC team that makes our Representative Payee Program possible!

The RPP program was created in 1939 by the federal government to aid vulnerable recipients of Social Security benefits. Individuals deemed unfit to directly receive and manage funds by the Social Security Administration may appoint a third party to manage their financial affairs.

Financial Pathways serves as the ‘payee’ for clients, handling their rent and utility payments, along with any other recurring expenses. Our team works alongside clients to establish a suitable budget, apply for other benefit programs, and help with paperwork.

Get started TODAY by contacting us OR filling out our RPP referral form. Link in bio.

Today, on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we're sharing Mrs. Luck's journey with our Senior Financial Care Program.

Financial exploitation is sadly one of the most common forms of elder abuse -- but you're not alone. Our Senior Financial Care counselors work with adults age 60+ to navigate financial challenges, establish a sustainable monthly budget, and ensure they can live peacefully and independently.

At Financial Pathways, we're proud to offer such a valuable service. If you, or someone you know could benefit, we're here. Comment 'CARE' and visit the link in our bio to get started.
