I will never forget September 11th. I vividly remember being at school and the rush of emotions when I first heard the devastating news 20 years ago today. I had worked as an intern for Morgan Stanley on the 61st floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center throughout the summer and just left there a couple of weeks before 9/11 to go back to school for the start of the year. I immediately tried calling all my co-workers in the building, but all cell service in NYC was down, so I couldn’t reach anyone. Thankfully, they ended up getting out of the building, but many others that day weren’t as fortunate. We must never forget all the innocent lives lost and heroes who sacrificed their lives to save others on this day 20 years ago. I will also never forget the amazing unity and patriotism throughout the USA in the days and weeks that followed. I hope we can get back to that again.
