💑💰 From "I think we’re okay…" to "We’ve got a plan!"

That’s the kind of transformation Vivian and I witnessed at our recent Couple Financial Workshop — and it was nothing short of inspiring.

Before the workshop, couples rated their financial literacy at an average of 2.8/5. By the end of the day?

That jumped to 4.3/5 — a 53.6% improvement in just one session! 🥳🙌

So, what made the difference?
✨ We made finance fun, engaging and super easy to understand.
✨ We created a safe space for meaningful conversations.
✨ And we filled the day with interactive activities that made learning stick.

This helped couples grow stronger together.

Whether you're soon-to-be-married, newlyweds, or years into the journey — this workshop was a relationship upgrade.

Not just about money — but about building trust, teamwork and a shared vision.

💬 “I finally feel like we’re on the same page.”
💬 “This should be mandatory for all couples!”

If you've ever thought:
❤️ "We should talk more about money…"
❤️ "I wish we had a clearer plan…"
❤️ "I want us to grow together financially…"
— then this workshop is for you.

💌 Curious about the next one?
Our next session is just around the corner — and we’d love to have you join us.

If this sparked something in you, or if you’re even a little bit curious… drop me a message or leave a 💬 below. I’ll personally reach out with the details.

👋 I'm Pauline — here to share money tips, real-life breakthroughs, and help you create a financial life that feels good.

Let’s connect — your journey to clarity and confidence could start with just one conversation. 🤝

“I Thought I Was Managing My Money Well… Until I Was RM397,542 in Debt.”

Brandon, a 28-year-old engineer, makes a decent salary and thought he had his finances under control.

But one day, he sat down, added everything up. Something didn’t feel right.

To be sure, he came to me for a second opinion.

As a Licensed Financial Consultant, I helped him with a Financial Health Check—and that’s when his worst fears were confirmed.

💥 RM397,542 in debt.

How Did It Get This Bad?

It didn’t happen overnight. It was just a series of small decisions that felt normal at the time:

🚗 A car loan – because public transport was a hassle.
📱 An iPhone on installment – “It’s just RM200 a month.”
💳 A credit card swipe here and there – “I’ll pay it off next month.”
🛒 BNPL for shopping & gadgets – “Easier to split into payments!”
🎓 His study loan – because education is important.

Each choice seemed manageable… until it wasn’t. Suddenly, the monthly payments stacked up.

With interest sn*******ng, he felt trapped.

💭 “Why didn’t I see this coming?”

I assured him—this happens to so many people. Lifestyle creep is real.

Debt doesn’t feel like a problem at first. It creeps up, little by little, until one day, you feel like you’re drowning.

If you’re worried about debt, here’s how to stay in control:

✅ Pause Before You Swipe – Ask yourself: Do I really need this, or am I just following FOMO?
✅ Know the Real Cost – RM5,000 on BNPL isn’t RM5,000—it’s RM6,500+ with fees & interest. Do the math!
✅ Build an Emergency Fund – Because life happens, and having savings means you won’t have to rely on credit.

“I’ve always viewed insurance as a burden to my cash flow. Thanks to you Pauline, sharing with us the importance of insurance, today it’s my best decision and true blessing to my family.”

Four years ago, my client’s world shattered when his beloved wife lost her battle to leukemia. At an early age of 36, she left her 6 year old son and husband and went home to the lord.

During this challenging and daunting period, stricken with grief he found himself at the crossroad. Having to decide how to move forward in life while ensuring his son continued to have the love, support and stability of a wholesome family.

Prior to the news of his wife's medical condition, it was lucky my client and his wife did constant review and proper financial planning with me to ensure gaps are covered and adjusted over a period of time.

The time invested over the years in proper planning helped to secure their financial future which unexpectedly became their lifeline during their darkest hour.

The insurance payout from his wife’s demise not only gave him and his son financial security. When I explained to him his available options for the first time in months, I saw him smile while shedding tears at the same time.

Because he was empowered by this unexpected blessing, it gave him the gift of time.

He made the courageous decision to step away from his career and decided to embark on a healing journey and to prioritize his son.

During this period of transition, he had the support of family and friends.

Without having to worry about his finances, he was able to wholeheartedly focus his time to navigate through the grief they both felt. This helped them to rebuild their lives together.

His personal message to those of you who can relate to his story,

“Never underestimate the impact of proper financial planning. It brought me great peace of mind during the most challenging time of my life. We do not know what life may bring but planning well for it can provide stability and relief in your life.”

What are some things you do out of love? Do share and inspire those who need support and courage at this moment.

Believe it or not, I believe Jim made a good point here.

Rich people tend to mix with other rich people.

As a Licensed Financial Planner my clientele is often of the similar group. Happy clients of mine will introduce their friends who are also in the same or similar line of work that they do.

Dear Malaysians and Permanent Residence residing in Malaysia,

It’s the time of the year whereby you need to fulfill your obligation to submit your personal tax to the Inland Revenue Board (aka Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri - LHDN).

Remember, filing for taxation is a legal compliance. You need to comply with the laws and regulations set by the tax authority in Malaysia. It is your duty to make sure you are accurate in your filing to avoid penalties or legal consequences.

In a way, tax filing is an opportunity for you to assess your financial situation. You have the opportunity to maximize the allowed deductions to potentially reduce your tax liability which can help you to maximize your savings and investments.

Some of the benefits which you will be eligible for to help reduce taxes includes
⭐Education expenses
⭐Medical expenses
⭐Contribution to retirement
⭐Lifestyle benefits

p/s: ⚠️Whatever it is, please do not try to evade from doing your tax. It will not go well for you now or in the near future. ⚠️
