Spending the evening with our Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana, after his Budget Speech this afternoon.

The Minister was very eloquent in saying that he has done his job balancing the books in reducing our National Deficit, and that SARS has made great strides the last 7 years under outgoing SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter in collections.

He then echoed our sentiment, that the next steps need to be in the effective implementation at local government level in service delivery.

We all remain soberly optimistic, for the task at hand.
