Here's my advice on the two pot system whether you're my client or not...let me make this simple...

Do absolutely nothing.. it has nothing to do with you...the only winner here is SARS...if you mess with your pension funds, you will be withdrawing these funds at your marginal tax rate...so do not be tempted by this attempt at financial relief...you will feel the consequences of this action at age 55 and beyond...SO DON'T DO IT!! Now forget about this two pot nonsense keep going and keep your eye on the ball...pots are for flowers or w**d - other than that just leave it alone and keep your eye on the ball...as you were 🙏❤️🙏

Making OUR Sammy Webber Stand Again

NEW DATE & VENUE CHANGE

It is with great pleasure & absolute gratitude that I can announce that the Sammy Webber Benefit Concert will now take place on Sunday, 21st April 2024 at 16h00 – 22h00 @ Westend Club Galaxy!
After Stellenbosch Municipality disallowed the event at Morgenhof Wine Estate, which was supposed to take place on Sunday, 17th March 2024, we had to move this event to an inside venue as we now are approaching a very unpredictable weather season in Cape Town, and we certainly could not risk having this event postponed again! Afterall, the intention is to get Sammy Webber to Stand Again and further delays would simply start diluting our efforts.

I wish to thank Sidny Oliver (Manager of Westend Club Galaxy) and Mr Kanti Patel, the owner of Westend Club Galaxy for stepping forward and saving the day by making this venue, which is the emotional “Home of Jazz” to so many of us, available for this event.
I realize that many of you bought a wine farm picnic-type experience, and I am sorry that this could not take place and would like to appeal to all of you who bought tickets to understand the circumstances, particularly in light of the pending risky weather season ahead of us and very limited venues available to host this type of event at short notice. I also would like to appeal to you to remain focussed on the intention of the event and thank you for your empathetic and understanding approach. If, however, you feel you would like a refund, you may do so within the next 14 days on the Quicket website.
Cape Town you have been incredibly kind and once again you have shown the world that you’re more than just a pretty place!

It's Retirement Annuity time of year!!!

01 March is a great time to start a Retirement Annuity and maximise your tax efficiency whilst ensuring a retirement plan for yourself instead of paying more tax than you need too

How to do this...(read below)

Calculating your taxable income: To maximise the tax benefits of a retirement annuity you will need to calculate your taxable income so that you can determine the appropriate level at which to contribute. Legislation permits investors to contribute up to 27.5% of taxable income per year towards an approved retirement fund on a tax-deductible basis, subject to an annual maximum of R350 000. When determining your RA contribution, be sure to accurately calculate your taxable income by taking all sources of income into account including bonuses, overtime, allowances, rental income, and dividends earned from REITS. Once calculated, you will be in a position to determine the most tax-efficient contribution level.

South Africa had the highest inequality in income distribution in 2021 with a Gini score of 63. Its South African neighbors Namibia and Zambia followed in second and third, respectively. The Gini coefficient measures the deviation of the distribution of income (or consumption) among individuals or households within a country from a perfectly equal distribution. A value of 0 represents absolute equality, a value of 100 absolute inequality. All the 20 most unequal countries in the world were either located in Africa or Latin America & The Caribbean.
