Technically our submission of tax return is for compliance purposes not to get refunds from Sars

However there are instances where your submission triggers a refund

Namely

If you have medical aid which your employer is not contributing towards it

If you have retirement annuity fund not funded by employer

Travel allowance

Working from home authorized by employer

Use of company vehicle

Just to name few if you don’t fall within those categories no refunds guys

There is an exception though if you didn’t work for 12 months and have paid tax the few months you worked that will be returned to you
