Although the rand 💵 initially fell on the news, it rebounded nearly 1% on Monday morning, dipping below the key R18 level against the dollar as markets remained jittery over ongoing ‘Trump uncertainty.’ Meanwhile, the long-postponed driving licence demerit point system 🚗📋 is finally set to launch on 1 September 2026. Parts of the country are also bracing for a cold front ❄️🌬️ sweeping in this week.
