Most accountants work with numbers.

I work with numbers and energy.

Call it weird if you want, but I've learnt that where focus goes, money tends to follow.

Right now, I can feel a wave of business funding opportunities coming through.

We're not even halfway through the week and I've already prepared 3 funding applications for clients.

And here's the thing...

A lot of women, especially Black female entrepreneurs, don't realise they may actually qualify for funding.

🚨 PSA for Business Owners: Your Company Can Literally “Disappear” While You’re Busy Building It 🚨

This week alone, we’ve had two clients panic because their business bank accounts were blocked… only to find out their company had been deregistered by CIPC due to unpaid annual returns 😩

Think of your CIPC annual return like your vehicle license renewal: You can own the car… but if the license expires, eventually you’re getting stopped 🚔

Same with your business: No annual returns = CIPC deregistration = banks start restricting accounts because your company technically no longer exists in good standing.

And now with Beneficial Ownership filings, things are even more connected 👀

CIPC shares information with: ✔️ SARS
✔️ Banks
✔️ Home Affairs

Meaning your business compliance, tax affairs, and personal information are becoming more aligned than ever before.

Ignoring these “small admin things” can create very big problems later.

And yes… if you owe SARS and ignore it long enough, don’t be surprised if one day Home Affairs says: “Enjoy your staycation” ✈️🚫

One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed between entrepreneurs and high-level established businesses is the speed at which they operate.

High-level clients make decisions quickly.
They don’t spend weeks negotiating discounts.
They value the service, understand the cost of delays, and they pay accordingly.

But there’s also accountability.

If a deadline is agreed upon, delivery is expected. Non-negotiable.

What’s interesting is that these clients also move fast on their side:
• Documents are sent within hours
• Communication is clear
• Teams are organised
• Decisions are made efficiently

And because of that, growth happens faster.

Smaller businesses and entrepreneurs are often “busy”… but not organised.
Documents take weeks to arrive.
There’s constant chasing, follow-ups, delays, and emotional energy spent trying to move things forward.

The truth is:
Your level of organisation directly affects the level of clients you attract.

Tis the season to buy shares… 👀📈

This week alone, I assisted with drafting *5 shareholder agreements* and facilitated discussions designed to protect both directors *and* shareholders — because growth without structure is just expensive chaos waiting to happen.

A shareholder agreement isn’t just paperwork.
It’s protection.
It’s clarity.
It’s future-proofing relationships before money, pressure, and expansion test them.

I also completed several business valuations this week.
They’re not cheap… but neither is walking blindly into a deal without understanding what your business is actually worth. 💡

What excites me most?
There’s a real energy of expansion happening right now.

There’s something called business etiquette… and it matters. 👏

On average I speak to about 50 clients a day. Between meetings, deadlines, SARS, bank applications, payroll, VAT, financials, audits, and running a business — time management is everything.

A few things to know when working with me and the Empire team:

📌 If you’re running late for an appointment, please communicate early. My diary moves quickly and the next available slot may only be a week later depending on availability.

📌 My phone is permanently on silent — intentionally.
Why? Because the person sitting in front of me deserves my full attention, not half a conversation while I answer 10 calls.

📌 I may not always answer immediately, but I WILL get back to you within 24 hours. That’s my personal standard and policy.
