EPITOMY FINANCIAL SERVICES FSP agreement with SANLAM since 1999 ,I can safely say my clients ,since inception of my business in April 1999 are in good hands ,EVEN MORE ,WITH THIS NEW ACQUISITION OF ASSUPOL BY THE SANLAM GROUP BELOW:

Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to inform you that we have successfully completed the acquisition of Assupol
Holdings Limited (Assupol).
To ensure a smooth integration and to maximise the benefits of this acquisition, we have
made some strategic changes to the Sanlam Retail Mass leadership team. The following
changes will help us align our leadership structure and better serve our customers:
• Bongani Madikiza, currently the CEO of Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) and
Retail Mass, has been appointed as the new CEO of Assupol, subject to the required
regulatory approvals. He will remain a member of the Sanlam Group EXCO, still
accountable for the overall Sanlam Retail Mass business.
• Bridget Mokwena-Halala, who has been the CEO of Assupol since 2021, will be
available to assist with the business transition until June 2025.
• Vicky Reddy, Executive: Actuarial and Product at Retail Mass, has been appointed
the CEO-designate of SDM, reporting to Bongani, pending the required regulatory
approvals.
These leadership changes are exciting and necessary for our growth. By joining forces with
Assupol, we are creating a stronger, future-fit business that is well positioned to lead the
South African retail insurance market. Our combined expertise and resources will enable us
to offer a wide range of insurance and financial solutions to a larger customer base.
Additionally, the expanded branch network will allow us to reach more customers and
provide them with exceptional service.
I would like to thank Bridget for the sterling job she has done. Under her leadership Assupol
received many accolades, including a Gold Seal of Achievement in the Deloitte Best
Company Survey and the Ask Afrika Orange Index Award for Customer Service. Her overall
contribution to the growth of the Assupol has been valuable and far-reaching and we look
forward to her contribution on the Assupol Board.
By preserving the values that have made both Sanlam and Assupol successful, we will
deliver on our promises to our clients, while also creating exciting new opportunities for
growth and development for all employees.
Please join me in wishing Bongani and Vicky every success in their new roles and
welcoming our Assupol colleagues to the Sanlam Group.
