The journey towards becoming a SAIPA Professional Accountant (SA) is built on knowledge, experience and professional competence. If you meet the requirements, the next step could be the SAIPA Professional Evaluation (PE) Assessment.

Applications are currently OPEN for eligible candidates. 🚀

You may be eligible to apply if you have:
✅ A completed BCom or equivalent qualification with the required core subjects; and
✅ A completed SAIPA learnership or at least 6 years’ verified work experience; or
✅ At least 6 years’ verifiable financial work experience through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL); or
✅ A completed training programme from another recognised accountancy body.
🔁 Reattempt candidates are also welcome to apply.

As part of ongoing reforms to modernise South Africa's national payment system, the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is in the process of withdrawing its recognition of the Payments Association of South Africa (PASA) as a payment system management body.

From 11 August 2026, some of PASA's functions, affected employees and intellectual property will be transferred to the SARB.

The change is aimed at ensuring that South Africa’s payment system remains safe, efficient, innovative and responsive to the needs of all users.

The transition will not affect the ability of consumers and businesses to make or receive payments.
