October is here — and that means a few important tax dates are coming up!

If tax deadlines have a habit of sneaking up on you, save this post for later.

Here are the key dates to keep in mind:

-7 October — PAYE / EMP201
-23 October — Individual Tax Returns for non-provisional taxpayers
-30 October — VAT201*
-31 October — EMP501

Don’t wait until the last minute to get your tax affairs in order. A little preparation now can save you a lot of stress later.

30 September is an important date for provisional taxpayers.

If your income includes earnings that are not subject to PAYE, you may need to consider your provisional tax position.

For taxpayers with a February year-end, 30 September 2026 is the deadline for the third, voluntary provisional tax top-up payment.

A top-up payment may help reduce interest if your previous provisional tax payments were not enough to cover your final tax liability.
