This year was a slow transition out of the the 2020/2021 ‘Covid years’ and we learnt that the most important thing we can possibly do as people is keep our loved ones close. 🙏🏽

Are you making sure that you and your family are protected?

While it is great to earn a salary or some form of compensation that is sufficient to take care of you and your loved ones today, are you confident that you have put a plan in place to ensure you are still able to tomorrow? 🙏

Now while it is easy to say "Yes, obviously, my salary gets paid to me every month, I'm clearly sorted", one thing you may not be taking into account is while you have worked hard to earn your place in that company, and earn that salary, the past two years have taught us that drastic circumstances can disrupt your stability and there will be nothing you can do to change that. 😲

A GOOD READ:
One thing that couples usually have trouble touching base on, especially at the early stages of settling down, is understanding and having uncomfortable conversations like 'managing our finances'. 😲

Everyone around us knows somebody that has either been in a relationship, or currently is in a relationship, where 'finances' such a touchy topic. But that does not mean the two loving partners should neglect that area of their relationship or 'cross that bridge when we get there'.

One thing I can firmly say is that with how much Mayhem there was during the covid-19 lockdown, one of the main things I lost my grip of was my finances. 🙈

There are many people around us that have made an active effort to take charge of their lives and protect themselves and those that depend on them to make it on a day-to-day basis. And to those individuals, I truly commend you!

And to those of you that are yet to take charge, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of doing so. You get a chance to take better control of your life and plan for anomalies that are out of your control, over your entire lifespan.
