Accountant
Location: Johannesburg (Preference will be given to candidates residing in Johannesburg)

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, including bank reconciliations, bank statement allocations, and monthly journals.
Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and annual financial statements.
Perform General Ledger reconciliations and review trial balances.
Capture, maintain, and analyse financial records using accounting systems.
Identify and resolve financial discrepancies through detailed analysis.
Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
Process payroll and ensure accurate salary payments.
Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax.
Handle CIPC, COIDA, CSD, and CIDB registrations and submissions.
Provide accounting, tax, and compliance support to clients.
Assist with company secretarial and other administrative duties as required.
Requirements
Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting firm (essential).
Proven experience preparing management accounts and annual financial statements.
Proficiency in Sage, Draftworx, Xero, and QuickBooks.
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Experience with VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, CIPC, COIDA, CSD, and CIDB submissions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Professional, accountable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Must be available to start immediately or within one week.
Preference will be given to candidates residing in Johannesburg.
