Reminder: Provisional Tax Deadline

If you are a provisional taxpayer, the first provisional tax return for the 2027 tax year is due on 31 August 2026.

Don't leave it until the last minute. Make sure your provisional tax calculation and submission are taken care of before the deadline.

From 1 July 2026, all travellers — including children and infants — must complete an Online Traveller Declaration before crossing air, land, sea, or rail borders.

🕒 Complete it within 24 hours before departure
📲 Submit via the SARS Customs Online Portal, SATMS Mobile App, or SARS MobiApp

You’ll need:
🛂 Passport or travel document
🗓️ Travel itinerary & contact details
👨‍👩‍👦 Details of travelling companions
💰 Declare goods and currency.

✅ Plan ahead. Declare on time.

Mandatory 2026 Risk and Compliance Return (RCR) – Deadline Approaching

If you are a legal practitioner, estate agent, trust service provider, or company service provider that qualifies as an accountable institution under the FIC Act, your 2026 Risk and Compliance Return (RCR) must be submitted via the FIC's goAML system.

Important Dates
📅 Reporting Period: 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2026
📅 Submission Window Opened: 4 May 2026
📅 Submission Deadline: 31 July 2026 at 17:00

Failure to comply may result in administrative sanctions and regulatory action.

• goAML registration and Org ID setup
• Risk and Compliance Return submissions

The RCR requires detailed information covering three reporting years, so early preparation is essential.
