We would like to inform you that recent SMS notifications sent by SARS on Tuesday, 24 October 2023, regarding the non-submission of income tax returns by companies and individuals, as well as the intention to prosecute, were sent in error.
SARS has acknowledged this mistake and has communicated on their official website on 25 October 2023, advising recipients not to respond or take any action.
SARS will be issuing follow-up correspondence regarding this matter.
