OPPORTUNITY FOR WORKPLACE TRAINING/ INTERNSHIP/ LEARNERSHIP – FASSET (SETA) REGISTERED LEARNERS (CANDIDATES)
IABC Accounting Incorporated, the practice arm and subsidiary of IABC Group, and an accredited (approved) SAIPA, ICB and ACCA employer/ training centre, has opening for Seta registered learners for Learnership agreements, that will run as per Seta stipulated periods or learnership agreement stipulated period in terms of the learnership agreement set by the client:
Requirements and details of the workplace learning programme:
• Completed and/ or studying towards a NQF L6 or L7 qualification;
• ICB, SAIPA, ACCA registered students/ affiliates will receive preference;
• Preference will be given to candidates who have completed workplace orientation/ training or who have worked in similar roles for at least 12 months;
• Working knowledge of Sage 200 (Sage Evolution Premium) is essential;
• Have a Fasset learnership agreement or willing to complete a Fasset learnership agreement;
• Learnership stipend/ allowances as per the learnership agreement. Amount will be discussed during the interview (minimum R4,000 pm before deductions);
• Candidates must not only be willing to learn but positively contribute to assigned work assignments/ engagements;
• Period of learnership agreement will be stipulated by the learnership agreement;
• Mode of work is physical, remote work is strictly by management discretion and authorization;

The scope of work will involve mainly book-keeping and accounting in various computerized environments; Xero, QBO, Sage, NetSuite including Draftworx for AFS compilations, payroll administrations for clients, tax administrations and query resolutions, financial projections and Business Plans and Compliance, Governance and Business Advisory

Job Title: Trainee Accountant
Job description:
The Trainee accountant must possess strong analytical skills and will be accountable for his/her work stream requesting guidance and input from Business Consultants as required. He/she may work on different projects at a time.

14. Can produce a set of accurate financial records from incomplete records
15. Can produce a set of IFRS compliant Annual Financial Statements from underlining records
16. Can prepare full tax computation (Tax Packs) for corporate and individual clients including tax relevant schedules (e.g. Wear + Tear) and submission of these to SARS and liaise with the receiver should there be any queries
17. Can prepare referenced accounts and tax files (including working papers) for review by the business consultants
18. Must be able to produce a company valuation and source information independently for achieving this, as well prepare business plans and financial projections
19. Must be proficient in Pastel and be able to carry out a Pastel Implementation project. Must also have working knowledge of Quick Books, ACCPAC, SAP and JDE.
20. Can be counted on to interact professionally and confidently with stakeholders such as clients.
