Come for a run, beer, coffee and some good cheer. 5,5km run or 3km walk route. Dress bright and colorful for spring day. Entry is completely FREE.

Traderoot Active will host and our gracious venue hosts Hops Ballito and their amazing staff will serve us afterwards. Just by being present we will donate R5 per runner to Salt40 and the wonderful work they do.

We run for those who can't. Come and join me and Luc on Sunday as we run at Moses Mabhida Stadium People's park against an EV car. Once the car overtakes us we are out. As always I'll be in my Traderoot Active and Salomon kit so come and say hellooooooo if we have never met.

This is the Red Bull initiative called Wings for Life World Run People around the world participate simultaneously – each at their own pace, with their own goals – and together they move us all closer to a cure for spinal cord injury, because 100 percent of entry fees go to spinal cord research.

***Urgent appeal***

Are you Tougher than a Ranger? I aim to see if I am.

In Exactly 3 months and 14 days I'll be attempting a 100km run over 2 days in Babanango Game Reserve to raise money for Rangers who often run unsupported tracking poachers in game reserves. They do this to preserve our wildlife for future generations and I personally want to my grandkids to see the wonders in our game reserves.

As most of you would have seen I have started my training and calling it my "couch to 100km" as I haven't run long distance in years, especially distances like this.

The chosen charities are Project Rhino and Sport For Lives and my target is R40 000. Round Table 2 Durban have generously said that they will match any donation I get in before the end of May so we have less than 2 months to reach this target but I am up for the challenge.

Top morning out at our Traderoot Active Monthly run in Ballito.

Two exciting fun runs happening this week. I should say walk/runs as they are for all levels.

First up is the DurbaNite Race on Thursday evening which is a 5km run at their new location at Marine Walk in Umdloti and a 18:30 start time and a great vibe so come and join us there.

The second is a 5,5km run in Ballito on Sunday with me and@Traderoot Active at Hops Ballito at 7am with a free beer or coffee afterwards.

My Traderoot Active “couch to 100km” run training starts today.

I woke up to the news that Round Table will match any donations up to R30k for the run I’m doing in July in support Sport For Lives and Project Rhino has me in tears. I will be attempting the 100km run over 2 days in Babanango Game Reserve in July.

I am even prouder to announce that I will be kitted out in the best gear by Salomon which will make the run a lot more “comfortable”.
