My name is Marélize de K**k , and I am the director of MDK & Associates. I have been privileged to work in the accounting and tax profession for the past 14 years, building a career grounded in integrity, passion, and a genuine commitment to helping people grow. I hold a BCompt in Accounting, completed my SAIPA articles, and further advanced my expertise with a qualification in Financial Forensic Investigation from the University of Pretoria.
MDK & Associates was founded in 2024 on a day that changed my life forever—the day I welcomed my baby boy into the world. Starting a firm during such a transformative moment was both intimidating and empowering, but it affirmed what I believe deeply: that mothers can have it all. We can pursue our careers, raise our children, support our partners, and still create meaningful impact in the world. It is possible, and I am committed to advocating for that truth.
My passion lies in people—their dreams, their potential, and their purpose. I am inspired by the entrepreneurs and business owners I meet every day, and it’s my mission to help them formalize, grow, and strengthen their businesses through sound accounting, tax, and advisory support. Since the start of this journey, I have been blessed with incredible opportunities and surrounded by remarkable individuals who have shaped both my professional and personal path.
