Intake: Trainee Accountant Reference: KIM/2025
Job purpose: First year intake for Trainee Accountants (SAICA CA program) are open for Kimberly office (preference will be given to applicants from the Northern Cape area).
Minimum requirements:
• BCom Accounting Degree, BCompt or BCTA, CTA, ITC or equivalent qualification (studying towards Chartered Accountancy stream).
• Candidates with a driving expertise will be given preference.
Duties & responsibilities includes but not limited to:
Technical competencies:
• Have detailed understanding of accounting, audit & tax concepts.
• Knowledge of IFRS, ISA’s, various tax legislations.
• Understand journal entries.
• Basic understanding of Pastel and Microsoft office.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of SAICA code of professional conduct & Public Audit Act (PAA)
Responsibilities:
• Perform the full accounting function from source document to trial balance.
• Prepare financial statements and management accounts.
• Prepare tax returns.
• Perform audits.
