1. The payment reference number - is always linked to one of your tax numbers.
2. The case number from SARS is never this long
3. SARS is a public beneficiary on ALL banks and you NEVER have to type in an account number to pay SARS.

Before paying over any monies that you are not aware off - always contact your accountant or tax practitioner to assist you to avoid scams.
