The 2025 Tax Filing Season is here!

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has announced the start of the 2025 Filing Season from 7 July to 20 October 2025.

SARS will issue auto assessment to selected Taxpayers from 7 to 20 July 2025. If you are not in agreement with this, contact us to review.

Taxpayers who do not receive an auto assessment notification from SARS and are required to file a tax return can do so from 21 July 2025.

Filing season will close on 20 October 2025 for non-provisional individuals.

Here's a list of documents you need when filing your income tax:

✅️ A copy of your South African Identity Document

✅️ IRP5: This is your payslips for the year summarised into one document.
(request this from your employer).

✅️ Medical Aid Tax Certificate: This is a summary of your medical aid membership and list of all your medical expenses incurred during the year. (SARS may ask for copies of medical expense invoices or may request proof of payment.)

✅️ IT3b/IT3c/IT3s: This is a summary of all the interest, dividends and capital gains through your investments.

✅️ Retirement Annuity/Pension Fund Certificate: Your contribution certificate for the year.

✅️ PBO Donation Certificate: A summary of the charitable amounts you donated during the tax year.
