FINANCIAL FORENSIC AUDITOR

Dalia Consulting is seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to perform forensic audits with diferent clients .

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing the risk of fraud in business;

• Keeping abreast of the latest fraud detection techniques;

• Planning and conducting forensic audits;

• Compiling and analyzing relevant data, and reviewing evidence gathered;

• Analyzing financial statements and systems from a forensic perspective;

• Identifying system and internal control weaknesses;

• Liaising with role players in law enforcement and intelligence agencies;

• Assisting with preparing cases for prosecution;

• Providing evidence at disciplinary hearings and in criminal / civil courts where necessary;

• Compiling reports for senior management; and

• Providing management with advise on fraud prevention and detection strategies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

NOTE: FOR THE FOLLOWING POST ; Please ensure that you meet the minimum job requirements You must have South African citizenship or be a permanent South African resident.

• Degree/Diploma

• Forensic audit qualification/certification

• Completed SAICA articles (advantageous)

• Strong forensic audit/investigative experience

• Ability to operate independently

• Business acumen

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)

The Tax Disputes and Litigation Review

With effect from 1 October 2012 the administration provisions of the various tax acts were moved to a new act, called the Tax Administration Act, 2012. The Tax Administration Act basically sets out the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and the taxpayer's obligations and entitlements.

The drafting of the Tax Administration Act was announced by the Minister of Finance in the 2005 Budget Review, and eventually promulgated on 4 July 2012. In terms of the law that has created SARS, (i.e., the South African Revenue Service Act) SARS's objectives include the efficient and effective collection of taxes. Tax legislation, such as the Tax Administration Act, seeks to achieve this objective
